Modec has appointed former head of Iveco, Chris Thorneycroft-Smith, to the board. Thorneycroft-Smith, who joined Iveco from Leyland DAF in 1993, held a number of positions in the company, including marketing director, head of LCVs and UK market director.
 James Armstrong, currently aftersales director for Scania (GB), has been appointed managing director of Scania South East Asia. Succeeding Armstrong is Mark Grant, currently bus, coach and engine sales director for Scania.
Adrian Wilkes has stood down as president of the Federation of Engine Remanufacturers (FER), a few months before his term ends. The move follows his involvement in the success of the European Right-to-Repair campaign (R2RC). Vice-president Alan Johnston will now take on the challenge of expanding membership.
Volvo Truck and Bus Centre East Anglia has appointed Darren Wymer (pictured) manager of its Bardon dealerpoint, near Coalville. Wymer has been with Volvo for 22 years, most recently as regional administration manager.
Keltruck Nottingham branch technician Richard Astill has completed 25 years service at midlands Scania dealer Keltruck. He is the most experienced technician at the Nottingham branch. Russ Warner, aftersales director, says he is proud that Astill joins a growing number of the Keltruck team being recognised for long service.
