A high voltage alert device has been launched by Edbro to protect drivers and equipment from power line contact and other electrical hazards.
 The unit is equipped with a compact detection antenna mounted in the chassis cab to sense when a tipper is getting dangerously close, and emits loud (85dB) audio and visual driver warnings.
Designed for 12 and 24V systems, it can be fitted to new vehicles or retro-fitted – with the in-cab display measuring only 130x35x25mm, the antenna just 235mm long and weighing in at just 60g.
It can be set to operate at up to 100 metres from the high voltage risk.
