Modular van racking equipment producer Tevo has opened a dedicated fleet conversion centre in Buckinghamshire.
 Paul Railston, fleet sales manager, says it has been designed for fleets of 100 or more vans, and allows Tevo to reduce build time for major customers.
"This investment allows us to really streamline our conversion workflow, ultimately benefiting our customers because their vehicles spend less time off the road," he says.
Tevo has organised the centre in sub-assembly areas, with quality checks built in at each stage.
Particularly interesting is its electrical department, which produces and installs wiring looms, so avoiding the need to tap into the vehicle's own electronics.
"Installing a separate electrical circuit and fuse box keeps maintenance simple, does not impact on the vehicle manufacturer's warranty and avoids conflicts with the OEM's own power system," says Railston.
Meanwhile, he indicates that Tevo has retained its 23,000sq ft workshops for individual van conversions, aimed at smaller fleets and owner-drivers. Customers can now choose from a factory-fitted service, flat pack for easy self-assembly, mobile fitting, or a fast and effective 'while you wait', he says.
