Tests and Trials Continue on the Muldoon 15.65m Longer Semi Trailer

With advantages such as a 15% payload increase, fewer vehicles on the road (estimated up to 10%), reduction of CO2 emissions, the Longer Semi Trailer is currently an interesting prospect for the future on UK roads.

Watch the video to see how easily this trailer meets the required legal turning circles followed by coverage of the trailer being driven on the road demonstrating how easily it negotiates roundabouts, obstacles, shows ease of driving and importantly and blends in with other road users.

A standard 13.6m trailer follows the longer trailer carrying a similar product yet the longer trailer does not look any more intimidating or out of place on the road despite the extra 2.05m in length and an extra 15% load. This longer trailer is the first and only longer trailer which has been granted a special order within the UK for any such trials and has been monitored closely by the Department for Transport.
