Sheeting system promises 9.5% fuel savings

As fuel prices rise to an all time high, Harsh is suggesting that its sheeting system for tippers can "put your diesel on a diet".

Sheeting system promises 95 fuel savingsFitting its Slide N Cover sheeting system saves an average of 9.5% on fuel consumption, according to the firm, which cites MIRA and BTAC tests as evidence.

It also claims 16% recorded on an 8x4 body with the Slide 'N' Cover compared to an identical un-sheeted body.

Harsh gives the example of a tipper covering 100,000miles per annum and currently running at 8mpg.

With the price of diesel, as we go to press, at 131.44p per litre, annual fuel cost per truck would be £74,689.47. Cutting 9.5% fuel means a saving of £7,095.55, set against the fitted cover price for an 8x4 of £2,054.00 plus VAT.
