Masternaut has released the world's first vehicle tracking application for Android smartphones.
Working with smartphones and tablet PCs from manufactures such as HTC, Samsung, Motorola, LG, Sony Ericsson and soon Panasonic, the Masternaut Rapide Android app gives fleet and service engineering managers a real-time link to vehicle fleets.
"Around 200,000 Android devices are activated by Google each day," comments Johann Levy, research and development manager, Masternaut.
"We are pleased to be able to offer customers a free app that will allow them to access important Masternaut information on the go," he adds.
Rapide tracks the exact movement of entire fleets, with instant updates via global positioning satellites. The system can also locate and monitor individual vehicles, as well as providing movement histories.
