Nexus Group has created a position of group marketing manager, designed to support growth in the vehicle rental and rental management sectors. The role will be filled by James Daybell, who brings considerable marketing experience across a number of sectors, with particular expertise in the adapted vehicles arena. The company has also appointed John Leigh as non-executive director of business affairs.

Nardia Mahmood has been appointed as a new telemarketing executive at fleet software market firm CFC Solutions. She is tasked with marketing the company's Licence Link fleet licence checking software to fleet decision makers.

Professor Alan Waller OBE FCILT is the new international president of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (CILT). Waller takes over earlier than planned, due to the death of former president Len Harper.

Mick Dixon has celebrated half a century working at hauliers Jempsons of Rye. Starting as a 15-year-old on 2 January 1961, Dixon has seen the company's fleet grow from 20 trucks to 80, and once worked a 99 hour week (prior to European Hours Regulations).

Martin Taylor has been appointed aftermarket director at Volvo Truck and Bus Centre London, one of the busiest regions in the Volvo network, with 10 Dealerpoints.

Citroën's newly appointed head of commercial vehicles is Martin Hamill. He takes over this role from Charles Peugeot, who has been promoted to the position of sales director at Citroën UK.

Euroway has appointed Mark Barton as managing director for both Euroway Vehicle Engineering and Euroway DAF, in addition to his current role as managing director of Euroway Vehicle Rental.
