As the days count down until the doors open to the CV Show 2011, more transport companies have confirmed their attendance, many of which will be launching new products.

More vehicle debuts confirmed for CV Show 2011Bott says it will debut its lightweight in-vehicle modular storage system, Bott Vario. The system is the result of a three-year multi-million pound development programme, and, according to the manufacturer, offers industry-leading functionality with sleek, modern aesthetics.

Kevin Woodward, managing director of the vehicle enhancement division of Bott, says: "Bott Vario can be installed in any vehicle type, so we look forward to meeting fleet managers working in a range of sectors, including utilities, service, telecoms, materials handling, civil engineering and rail."

Meanwhile, insurance broker Towergate, which looks after the Freight Transport Association (FTA) and Scania Insurance, will be officially launching Azudrive, a pay-as-you-drive insurance product for commercial vehicle operators, at the CV Show.

Announced earlier in the year, Azudrive calculates an individual rate per kilometre for the customer, from its standard insurance premium, and multiplies this by the number of kilometres travelled every month. The product records the distance travelled so that drivers pay only for the distances they drive – an approach that could revolutionise haulage insurance.

Elsewhere, TrukTorque is a pneumatic torque multiplier from Norbar Torque Tools being unveiled at the show. The tool operates up to 1,000Nm of torque, is considerably lighter than a comparable impact wrench and is designed so that the operator's hands do not risk getting caught in trapping zones while wheel nuts are being tightened.

The show runs from 12—14 April, and is a must for fleet engineers, workshop managers and those involved in commercial vehicle operations.
