Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle dealer for the north and north-east of Scotland, John R Weir Truck & Van, has a new sales executive.
 Recently appointed Alistair McCallum is taking his first steps in the commercial vehicle arena – but he believes the skills and experience gained in other roles will help him ensure success in his new position.
Before joining the Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle dealer, McCallum spent five years as an asset finance specialist working for Clydesdale Bank and covering Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Dundee. He has also worked in fleet and contract hire sales for a car dealer.
"Trucks are new to me, although I'm learning about the products fast," he says. "But I have a very good understanding of industry and the pressures that commercial vehicle operators face in today's economic climate."
