Justine Greening is the new transport secretary of state for transport, following Philip Hammond's appointment as defence secretary.
Alec Murray has been appointed chairman of the Retail Motor Industry Federation (RMI). Murray's previous roles have included managing director of Ford Credit Britain, chief executive of Quicks Group and deputy chairman of Caledonia Motor Group.
Alex Smith has been crowned the new director of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. He took up the role on 1 November, replacing Simon Elliott, who recently became managing director of Volkswagen Group Ireland.
Darren Holland is the new group sales director at Manchester-based Cartwright Group. In his new role, Holland will report to Cartwright's board of directors.
Fiat Group Automobiles UK's new director for the commercial vehicle division is Sebastiano Fedrigo. He returns to the UK from his previous position as area sales manager based at Fiat's headquarters in Turin, responsible for supporting Fiat Professional in several European markets.
Roy Spink has returned to Optare as quality and continuous improvement director, reporting to chief operating officer Glenn Saint. He is based at the new bus assembly plant at Sherburn-in-Elmet, Yorkshire.
Allan McKee has joined Euroway Group as strategic business development manager, reporting to group sales and marketing director Mark Howell.
Dometic Group has named Mike Smith as managing director of Dometic UK. Smith brings more than 20 years of experience in international industrial companies, such as BAE Systems, Webasto and Magna.
600 Group, the diversified engineering organisation, has appointed Neil Carrick to the board as group finance director with immediate effect. Martyn Wakeman, who has served as finance director for the past five years has retired for personal reasons.
