Fiat Professional is increasing the number of New Fiat Ducato versions that can be equipped with the Comfort-Matic six-speed robotised gearbox.
As well as the 180 MultiJet Power, the unit is now available in combination with the 130 and 150 MultiJet II engines.
The Comfort-Matic is an automated transmission that aims to combine the advantages of a manual gearbox with the practicality and comfort of an automatic.
The new gearbox meets the demands of customers wanting automatic transmissions, and increases the New Ducato's flexibility and versatility.
In brief detail, the gearbox offers six speeds (plus reverse) that work in both fully automatic and sequential manual mode with actuation. In manual mode, the driver can choose which ratio to engage by means of the joystick gear lever on the dashboard. There is no clutch pedal.
