Engineering Supervisor - Lea Interchange Depot - (competitive salary dependent on skills and experience)13 December 2017

We are now looking to recruit an Engineering Supervisor based at our Lea Interchange Depot working early and late shifts. The Engineering Supervisor plays a key role in the success of the engineering function and is responsible for ensuring, on a day-to-day basis that sufficient fit vehicles are available to meet the operating requirements of the garage.

Key Responsibilities

You will be expected to maintain all quality standards including, maintenance of the Company’s ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001 standards and the effective operation of the engineering management system database.A commitment to safe working practices is essential, given the importance to the company of achieving the highest health and safety standards.

Knowledge and Skills

You will need proven experience of supervising or managing an engineering function and must be able to balance, on a daily basis, the many conflicting demands that the engineering function has to deal with.To ensure that a sufficient number of fit buses are available you will need to motivate and encourage the engineering staff to work to their maximum potential.

The successful applicant will have a full driving licence (if not a PCV licence holder this must be obtained within 6 months of appointment). The successful candidate will ideally come from a workshop, mechanical/electrical background and will ideally have membership of a professional body (SOE, IMechE, CIT) and a CPC qualification although this is not a pre requisite.

The role would suit an enthusiastic team player who is able to deliver in a fast moving dynamic operational environment and who is able to support the delivery of excellent performance within the challenging environment of London’s busy streets.
