GENERAL MANAGER VACANCY10 December 2018

Gus Commercials is recruiting a General Manager to take full leadership, operational and financial responsibility for the business. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for career progression within the transport industry.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

Assume full responsibility for the day-to-day business operation across all departments
Be responsible for both operations and business development
Manage, motivate, develop and coordinate the team through effective leadership
Identify and implement strategic business opportunities to complement existing revenue streams
Control costs and drive sales growth
Ensure consistency of customer service delivered
Continue to modernise the business

The Person

The successful candidate will:

Have prior experience in a senior position, with focus on both operations and business development
Be financially astute and experienced in setting and managing business objectives
Have up-to-date knowledge of corporate law, employment law and health and safety regulations
Be energetic and self-motivated and have proven ability to lead and motivate a team
Have a strong ability to create and maintain relationships with new and existing customers
Have a high level of IT literacy
Ideally have previous experience in the transport / motor industry (highly desirable)
Ideally have previous experience in managing a workshop (desirable but not essential)
