We currently have a vacancy to help lead our local depot teams in operations.
Service Delivery Manager, Keighley This depot-based role will provide leadership amongst a team of over 200 colleagues at our busy two-depot operation in Keighley. The operations present some great challenges to get your teeth into – we are largely the custodian of the town’s busy bus network, but we also run a 45-vehicle school bus operation and interurban routes out to Leeds, Skipton, Bradford and the Bronte Country as well as a local network in Otley and Ilkley. We are proud partners with West Yorkshire Combined Authority and regularly top the local Transport Focus scores for customer satisfaction – however, that’s our motivation to carry on excelling and by no means an excuse to rest on our laurels.
In this job, you would report to the General Manager and help him look after the smooth running of the operation, managing the team of drivers and duty managers and work with our commercial team and local stakeholders to ensure our plans come to life. It’s an excellent introduction to operations and people management if you want to take a step up from a current supervisory position, or you may be in a similar role elsewhere but are in need of a change of scenery in a can-do business. Keighley itself is a proud, northern town with a keen sense of local identity. It’s a great place to work and you’ve plenty of options from the World Heritage Site of Saltaire, the breath-taking scenery of the Worth Valley, the busy cities of Leeds and Bradford nearby, as well as the Yorkshire Dales all on your doorstep to provide you with a well-balanced lifestyle.
