PACCAR has named Ronald Armstrong as chief executive officer, with Mark Pigott remains executive chairman of the board of directors, effective 27 April. Armstrong is currently president of PACCAR and succeeds Pigott, who has served as the company's chief executive officer and chairman since 1997.

Isotrak has appointed Jason Price sales and marketing director, as part of a push to expand global sales and expand into new markets. He joins the fleet logistics and telematics systems specialist having worked for IT firms, including K3, fuel management company TriScan and Microlise.

Tyre manufacturer Hankook has promoted marketing and sales executive Ho-Youl Pae to chief operating officer for its largest regional headquarters. The current head of Hankook Tire Europe, Jin-Wook Choi, who was a driving force in the company's Europe-based production operations, will take over an advisory role at global headquarters.

Moyah Murdock is the new chief executive at the Road Safety Authority (RSA). The former Bus Éireann chief operating officer, Ms Murdock had previously been the company's chief mechanical engineer and holds a CPC from the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, a BEng from Queen's University, Belfast, and an MBA from Dublin City University.

Roy Owens is celebrating 35 years with Newtownabbey dealer Mercedes-Benz Truck & Van (NI), and is now one of Britain's longest-serving and best known truck salesmen, having been with the company since the year when Liverpool's Kenny Dalglish scored the only goal to win the European Cup Final at Wembley.

Ross Start, managing director of Exeter-based Stuarts Trucks and Bus, has taken over new Volvo truck sales in Devon and Cornwall from former dealer for the area, Truck and Bus Wales and West. The latter will now serve customers in Somerset, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire and South Wales.

Motor Wheel Service Distribution has promoted Karl Ellis to the newly created position of OE sales manager for steel and xlite forged aluminium wheels. He will be responsible for all technical, ordering and aftermarket enquiries, and a single point of contact for truck and trailer manufacturers, working with Kevin Ryan, who continues his role as executive sales director with a extended remit to develop European business.

Physicist Dr Dirk Walliser has taken over management of the Automotive Controls Division of Eberspaecher Group. Under his leadership, the firm says it intends to strengthen its involvement in automotive electronics.
