FirstGroup has appointed Giles Fearnley as managing director UK Bus. Fearnley has considerable experience in the passenger transport industry, having led the management buy-out of Blazefield Holdings in 1991, with bus networks across Yorkshire and Lancashire.

Tony Francis has moved from fleet engineer Arriva's Southern Counties to include responsibility for New Enterprise Coaches at Tonbridge and the Arriva the Shires & Essex accident repair centre. Meanwhile, Adrian Jones from Arriva Shires & Essex is now fleet engineer for that region's depots at Milton Keynes, Ware, Hemel Hempstead, High Wycombe, Aylesbury, Stevenage and Luton. And former district engineering manager for the North Kent and Medway depots Andy Henry is now fleet engineer for Watford, Southend, Sheerness, Gillingham and Northfleet depots.

Bob Holt has joined Isuzu Truck UK as fleet sales manager, reporting to Isuzu's general manager of fleet sales, Pete Murphy and looking after fleet sales in the Midlands, South West and Wales. He was formerly with Terberg DTS (UK).

Martin Otter has been appointed by Trimble as its business development manager for its insurance covering Europe, Middle East and Africa. Otter has over 10 years' experience in the insurance and telematics industries

David Thorley has joined Navman Wireless as a global refrigeration specialist, and will be involved in the development and implementation of telematics for temperature controlled distribution.

After 31 years with Eberspacher UK and 23 as managing director, Russell Brown has announced his retirement effective from 30 April. Russell will be succeeded by general manager Vince Lee, who has been with the company for 30 years.

There's a new hand on the tiller at Mercedes-Benz truck and van dealer Rossetts Commercials, which is also a main sales and service partner of EvoBus UK . Perry Reeves was formerly group aftersales director at the Sussex and Surrey dealer and succeeds Rossetts' co-founder Robert Maxwell, who has retired. Reeves began his career in 1979 as a 15-year-old apprentice technician at a Leyland and Scammell dealer in Brighton. He was workshop foreman when he left to take up a service manager's position with Brighton Transport, where he spent 12 years leading the team responsible for a fleet of 45 buses operating from Lewes. He is a Fellow of the IRTE.
