Elisabeth Tasker, currently operations director with Stagecoach Manchester, has been appointed managing director of Stagecoach Merseyside and South Lancashire. She will have responsibility for depots in Liverpool, Preston and Chorley. In other Stagecoach news, Nigel Winter has won promotion from operations director North East, to managing director Cumbria and North Lancashire. In his new position, Winter has responsibility for the Carlisle, West Cumbria, Kendal, Barrow and Lancaster depots.

One of Britain's leading Mercedes-Benz dealers has a new truck sales manager. John Keogh has joined Rygor Commercials and will now be selling trucks from Mercedes-Benz, the company he has worked at for seven years. In other Mercedes-Benz news, John R Weir Truck & Van, commercial vehicle dealer for the north and north-east of Scotland, has a new sales executive in the shape of Alistair McCallum.

Dr Heinz-Jakob Neußer is to take charge of drivetrain development at Volkswagen next month. His predecessor, Dr Jens Hadler, is leaving the company. Dr Rüdiger Szengel, who has been with Volkswagen since 1985, is to become deputy head of VW drivetrain development and continues to hold responsibility for gasoline engine development.

Kevin Perks has been appointed managing director of TTi EMEA, with immediate effect. In his new position, Perks will support continued growth in Africa, theUK and Europe for TTi's training services, and its Middle East consultancy business.

Three new account managers have been recruited by epyx to support expansion of its rapidly growing 1link disposal network e-commerce platform. Franchise dealers, independent garages and car supermarkets that have joined to purchase ex-fleet vans and cars will be visited by Marianne Caffrey, Mary-Ann Birch and Sarah Mobbs.
