Volvo Trucks has appointed Tony Davis commercial aftersales director. In his new position, Davis will report to Volvo Trucks UK managing director Ulf Magnusson.

Richard Slater, former logistics and development director with Palmer and Harvey, has joined ambient and chilled operator Fowler Welch as its sales and marketing director. Slater joins Fowler Welch as part of a senior team that has been strengthened significantly over the last couple of years.

Vehicle heating, cooling and air conditioning specialist Grayson Thermal Systems' Midlands service manager Steve Robinson has been promoted to installation manager. He will head the team responsible for all new projects, vehicle testing, inspection and sign-off, both for Grayson products and Thermo King air conditioning systems.

Isuzu Truck UK has appointment Liam Doyle (formerly with Jaguar Land Rover) technical trainer at the Hatfield HQ. In this newly created position, Doyle will report to ITUK's general manager of training Tim Hicks and will be responsible for updating and developing all training courses, as well as administering Isuzu's Master Tech curriculum.

Mark Hamilton is the new leasing and strategic account manager at Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicles. He joins from Audi UK, where he was national key account manager and regional contract hire and leasing manager.

Streit Group, the privately-owned vehicle armouring company, has appointed David Winner (exBritish Army) general manager for Streit UK, responsible for sales and marketing across Europe and for consulting on European defence and security requirements and designs.

Lee Williamson is the new road risk manager at trg Logistics, a newly created position aimed at enhancing the firm's overall legal compliance and road risk management programme. He will be responsible for implementing a company-wide framework that minimises occupational road risk in all divisions.

Louise Lawrence has joined Atkins' Highways & Transportation business to take up the newly created role of tolling service director.
