Transport managers are using tracking systems for everything from vehicle tracking to journey logging, incident logging, and improving the efficiency of their vehicles and drivers. Vehicle tracking equipment brings new responsiveness, security and management information to fleet management.

Fleet engineers, too, report savings and efficiencies, due to telematics systems improving driver management and driver training – so resulting in improved driver behaviour and reduced wear and tear. Although big in buses and coaches, the technology is spreading to light commercial vehicles and heavy trucks.
