Founded in 1919, W H Bowker Limited today operates a modern fleet of Euro 6 and Euro 5 vehicles, trailers and tankers throughout the UK and Europe from its operating bases in Preston and Hull.
Due to the impending retirement of our current Fleet Engineer, an opportunity has arisen based at our head office in Preston for an experienced professional to join our team.
The main purpose of the role is to ensure Operator Licence compliance, manage the internal workshops and parts department in Preston and Hull which are supported by external franchise maintenance, scheduling the servicing and MOTs, equipment specification and procurement as well as remaining up to date with legislation and equipment developments.
The successful candidate should have a proven record in workshop management together with a working knowledge of DVSA and other appropriate legislation and standards.
You will need to demonstrate a strong technical knowledge, proven communication skills and knowledge of health and safety to ensure the continued compliance of our operation to the highest standard.
The considered applicants should hold a relevant engineering qualification along with C + E driving licence and preferably be a CPC holder.
