THE ROLE as Maintenance Controller you will work as part of a busy Fleet Support Services department, where your role will be to assess and authorise repair operations. Candidates need to be technically competent, qualified to City and Guilds or equivalent NVQ standard with at least 10 year’s workshop experience. You will need a firm understanding of current operator licence legislation and requirements, ideally possess CPC or equivalent; ensure minimum standards are exceeded advocating pro-active activities. This will ensure that work carried out on our equipment is carried out is proportionately with the defects reported, symptoms identified and in-line with cost expectation.

YOU will need to have a proven track record of working in a busy multi-tasking environment, work with limited supervision, and be able to effectively communicate with external workshops and internal operations and planners. Given that, you will need to possess strong communication and interpersonal skills giving the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels.
