The Scottish Ambulance Service Fleet Department maintain a fleet of 1,450 emergency response, scheduled care and support vehicles nationally through 15 in house maintenance facilities and partner services. We are recruiting for a number of positions within our Fleet Department.

Fleet Maintenance Manager – Edinburgh (AFC Band 6£26,565 to £35,577)

We are recruiting an experienced Fleet Maintenance Manager be based in our Edinburgh Workshops, reporting to the National Fleet Operations Manager – East, with responsibility for the maintenance of over 275 vehicles at facilities in Edinburgh and Melrose.

Fleet Engineer – Edinburgh (AFC Band 6£26,565 to £35,577)

We are recruiting an experienced Fleet Engineer be based at our National Headquarters in Edinburgh but regularly travelling to all workshop locations leading national engineering, training and specialist technical, design and innovation.

Vehicle Maintenance Chargehand – Stirling (AFC Band 5 £22,218 to £28,746)

We are recruiting an experienced Vehicle Maintenance Chargehand based at our Stirling Workshop.

Vehicle Maintenance Chargehand – Argyle & Clyde / Renfrewshire (AFC Band 5 £22,218 to £28,746)

We are recruiting an experienced Vehicle Maintenance Chargehand initially covering the Argyle & Clyde and Renfrewshire areas travelling to neighbouring workshop locations as required.

Vehicle Maintenance Chargehand – Ayr (AFC Band 5 £22,218 to £28,746)

We are recruiting an experienced Vehicle Maintenance Chargehand based at our Ayr Workshop.

Vehicle Master Craftsperson – North Ayrshire (AFC Band 5 £22,218 to £28,746)

We are recruiting an experienced Vehicle Master Craftsperson based in North Ayrshire and travelling to neighbouring workshop locations as required.

To meet the challenges of these positions, applicants should be able to demonstrate the appropriate skills, experience and qualifications. All candidates should hold a full driving licence (C1 & D1 entitlement attainment would be a condition of employment). A sound working knowledge of computers, software programmes and e-mail is also essential.

These are full time positions working 37.5 hours Monday to Friday. There may be a requirement to participate in an On Call rota or occasional flexible working, overtime or public holiday working. The Scottish Ambulance Service offer excellent terms and conditions.
