The successful candidate will have the opportunity to manage the West Yorkshire Fire Service vehicle repair facility at the Headquarters site in Birkenshaw, Bradford, ensuring the safety and reliability of firefighting vehicles and equipment through an extensive program of preventative maintenance and reactive repair.
You will have proven experience managing a commercial or public sector workshop, be flexible and adaptable and possess an extensive knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.You will be qualified to at least C&G level 3 in vehicle repair or ONC certificate in mechanical engineering with additional experience in managing teams in a workshop environment.
You will be committed to the highest standards of vehicle engineering and be able to demonstrate a passion for delivering excellence and efficiency, with the ability to be an effective leader of a team of experienced, highly skilled technicians.
