100 ISO tanks for Suttons 31 March 2022

Suttons International has invested in 100 additional 24,000 litre ISO tank containers to bolster the business’ international tank container fleet.

The tanks are being supplied by supplier NT Tank and will be delivered into active service by late summer. The business continues to negotiate for further tank availability as steel prices normalise.

The addition of 100 new tanks to the fleet profile builds upon the recent successful acquisition of VTG Tanktainer’s overseas activities. The acquisition saw the logistics provider acquire ISO tank containers, personnel, and customer contracts from VTG earlier this year, which catapulted the business into the top ten global tank container operators by adding 5,000 tanks.

John Sutton, Suttons Transport Group CEO said: “Increasing our fleet size once again demonstrates our intention and capacity to grow in the international market to better serve our existing customers, while doubling down on the expansion the business has made following completion of the VTG acquisition.”

The company has 32 operations across the UK, with key sites in Widnes, Antwerp, Singapore, Brazil and New Jersey, USA.
