Abbey Logistics standardises on FuelDefend anti-siphon 19 July 2013

Liverpool distribution specialist Abbey Logistics is fitting Hercules and NeckIt anti-siphon devices, from FuelDefend Global across its 240-strong commercial vehicle fleet.

Abbey workshop manager Chris Dobbie says he carried out a market evaluation and found that both devices offered good theft deterrence, and were quick and easy to fit, and good value for money.

"In these challenging times we need to look at all our costs, including equipment such as anti-siphon devices, which we fit to all our new trucks immediately we take delivery," he explains.

"We were already using another device but I decided to check out the market to see if we couldn't reduce our costs," he continues.

"I found that the Hercules and NeckIt products are sturdily made and well designed, and were available at a much lower cost. As a result we are now standardising on these two products."

Dobbie says both devices are quick to fit. "The use of grub/hex fixing nuts makes them easier to install, as well as improving their security and resulting in a neater finish," he states.
