Aberdeen showcases hydrogen transport potential21 March 2016

A fleet of hydrogen-powered buses, vans and cars were on show in Aberdeen on Friday (18 March) as part of an event to promote the city as a viable hydrogen transport hub.

A one-day conference drew delegates from public and private organisations in the UK and Europe, to showcase how hydrogen can be deployed, and visitors also had a tour of the UK’s largest hydrogen production and bus refuelling station.

The conference included presentations from Transport for London’s David Yorke and Transport Scotland low carbon vehicle policy manager Ewan Swaffield, as well as representatives from operators such as First and Stagecoach.

The event marked the last day of Hydrogen Week in the UK.
