Accreditation boost lands for Fowler Welch ambient 27 June 2012
Fowler Welch has taken a step forward with its ambient transport business, with the award of British Retail Consortium (BRC) accreditation to its flagship Heywood location – a first for both organisations.
Although BRC accreditation is not a legal requirement, Fowler Welch says it recognises the importance of setting a minimum quality standard to reassure customers looking for full traceability across their supply chain.
Paul Milnes, head of operations, ambient, says BRC Accreditation provides a useful differential.
"We have established a track-record of speed and efficiency in the chilled sector and want to bring many of the benefits, such as 'Day One for Day Two delivery', into the multi-category ambient arena," he explains.
