Airporter says Masternaut wraps up logistics and safety 21 April 2015

Airport transfer firm Airporter says it has installed Masternaut’s fleet management system to improve passenger information and safety, as well as fuel efficiency, through real-time vehicle tracking and driver behaviour monitoring.

Niall McKeever, owner and director at Airporter, says that fleet managers are now using data from Masternaut Connect, including the eco-Drive and Tachofresh modules, to manage movements of its 17-strong fleet of Mercedes Executive mini coaches.

The ecoDrive module allows managers to assess whether driver training is required and where improvements may be needed, as well as managing vehicle safety inspections.

Meanwhile, Tachofresh provides tachograph management that stores, archives and protects data, also making it available on mobile devices, and enabling remote downloads of driver and truck data, along with digital analysis.

"We want to be using the best facilities in all aspects of our business and Masternaut fits in with that philosophy – with the added bonus of saving money on fuel expenditure," states McKeever.

"In that respect, the system effectively pays for itself," he says, adding that Tachofresh "took us by surprise" in its ability to wrap up the whole logistics management side of the business "with a single reporting system".
