Airsource1 flies far for approved used Mercedes vans 20 September 2016

Husband and wife team Shawn and Mary-Anne Hogg, who run Inverness-based heat pumps firm airsource1 are so concerned to get the right deal that they sourced their last two approved used vans from Sparshatts of Kent.

Attracted by the price and specification of two vehicles, the couple bought a small Citan 109 CDI Extra-long and a mid-sized Vito 113 CDI Compact from the dealer last summer (2015).

But so impressed were they with the service that they have now returned to Kent to buy another Vito 113 CDI, in this case an Extra-long van.

Like the earlier two vehicles, the latest arrival is the subject of a funding agreement with Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, now joining airsource1’s fleet of five vans.

“We cover a very large and remote area so reliability and economy are the most important attributes I look for in a van,” states Shawn Hogg, who now drives the Citan.

“My previous experience, coupled with the long service intervals and the brand’s quality image, meant that when I launched airsource1 Mercedes-Benz was the only make of van I was prepared to consider,” he continues.

“The fact that we were just starting out, and are still a relatively new business, meant we couldn’t afford brand new vehicles, but the Mercedes-Benz Approved Used scheme has given us the confidence to invest in used vans.”
