Alfa Travel sees clear benefits with TruTac08 March 2018

Coach operator Alfa Travel is reporting improved fleet visibility and easier compliance with software from TruTac.

The Chorley, Lancashire-based operator evaluated several systems before deciding on TruTac’s CPT Tacho Analysis and CPT Daily Checks software.

Developed by TruTac in partnership with the CPT (Confederation of Passenger Transport), the Tacho Analysis product offers web-based digital and analogue tachograph analysis, supporting EU and GB domestic drivers’ hours rules, specifically for PSV drivers.

The cloud-based system also provides Alfa Travel with instant access to compliance data, including manager and driver dashboards with KPI reporting.

The Daily Checks tool, meanwhile, enables the operator to monitor its 48-strong coach fleet, with drivers entering inspection information via a mobile app. This can include photographs and detailed notes, where necessary, which are then passed to Alfa’s engineering manager for escalation.

“We were using another package until recently, but frankly it didn’t tell us easily what we need to know,” says Paul Bull, Alfa’s operations director.

“Now, with the support of the TruTac team we have deployed at pace to be ready for the 2018 season and, after a short training period, we have full visibility across the fleet.”
