Allison showcases MAN and Mercedes trucks at Interschutz 201505 June 2015

Allison Transmission is teaming up with MAN and Mercedes to demonstrate its products at Interschutz 2015, the exhibition for the fire protection and rescue sector, taking place in Hannover on 8-13 June.

Allison's fully automatic 3000 Series and 4000 Series will soon be available in MAN TGM and TGS trucks. Visitors to Allison's stand can see a MAN TGS 18.400 4x4 chassis, produced to operate in the Austrian Alps.

Its 400bhp engine is coupled with an Allison 4000 Series fully automatic transmission to deliver top acceleration and performance.

Also on the stand will be a Mercedes-Benz Econic 1830 L 4x2, with HLF 20/16 firetruck body and Allison 3000 Series fully automatic transmission.

The vehicle, currently operating in Hannover, has a small turning radius of 13.5m thanks to its rear steering axle, compared with the standard vehicle radius of 16.5m. This makes the Econic HLF ideal for urban operations, with narrow roads or alleyways.

Allison's patented torque converter enables precise manoeuvring, even at low speeds. In addition, Allison Automatics offers a top-mount, engine-driven power take-off (PTO) provision, for easy integration of emergency equipment.
