Alpha Logic sees direct benefits of Mercedes-Benz Econic20 December 2016

Waste management company Alpha Logic has taken delivery of its first refuse truck – a Mercedes-Benz Econic – to provide a direct trade waste service.

Supplied by Refuse Vehicle Solutions (RVS), the Plymouth-based operator’s new addition is an Econic with a Dennis Eagle Olympus 23W body, fitted with a Beta Trade bin lift and an AMCS bin weighing system.

It was supplied through RVS’s RediTruck service, launched last year, to provide ready-to-go trade waste collection vehicles from stock.

“This new addition to our fleet means we can provide the very best service direct to our customers rather than through subcontractors as we have done previously,” explains Alpha Logic operations director Ben Phillips.

Alpha Logic offers waste management and recycling services to organisations across the South West. Its nine-strong fleet ranges from a 7.5-tonne top loader to the new 26-tonne trade waste vehicle, and it expects to add to this in the near future.

“The new vehicle is incredible and has several state-of-the-art features, from full weighing equipment to RFID reporting systems as well as a 360-degree camera system and full tracking,” continues Phillips.

“We’ve always had a great relationship with RVS, who have supplied us with several great quality used vehicles over the years. They were the obvious choice when we made the leap into trade services.”
