Asset Alliance gets good deals for Mercedes-Benz Actros 19 April 2013

Asset Alliance (AAL) is reporting that several of its clients have been able to take delivery of new Mercedes-Benz Actros tractor units at preferential rates, thanks to its buying power.

More than 20 have been provided on contract hire to companies including: Yuill and Dodds, of Blantyre (three trucks); Farm Field Fresh, of Shotts (four plus one more to its sister company JHP Transport); South West Transport of Cornwall (taking three with an option for one more); and Woods Haulage, from the West Midlands (two).

"Our financial strength enabled us to secure the Mercedes Actros units at a very competitive price and we've been able to pass the savings on to our customers," comments John MacLaughlin, head of leasing for Asset Alliance.

"It is very pleasing that we have managed to place so many in a series of deals. I'm also happy to say that many of these deals are repeat business, which shows that we are delivering great service and value for money and that is being recognised by our client base," he adds.

The current and new model Mercedes-Benz Actros trucks were acquired as part of AAL's annual buying programme. No figures were revealed.
