ATS rolls out new apprenticeship programme16 January 2017

Tyre specialist ATS Euromaster has launched a new apprenticeship scheme, in partnership with automotive training provider ProVQ.

Eight teenagers, aged from 16 to 19, have already joined the two-year programme. They are based at ATS centres around the country for practical vehicle maintenance training and will attend ProVQ’s training centre in Shrewsbury for two-week training blocks throughout the year.

At the end of the two-year programme, the apprentices will be able to start a career within ATS.

Tim Hallatt, learning and development business partner for ATS Euromaster, says: “While the company already has an exceptional accredited training programme, this new scheme helps support school leavers to directly enter the industry, prepares them for the world of work, and brings the technicians and managers of the future into ATS Euromaster.”

The scheme is accredited by the Institute of the Motor Industry. A second intake is scheduled for this spring, with 24 places available.
