Bathroom maker boosts payload with Maxi-Low van20 October 2014

Kitchen and bathroom furniture maker East Coast Fittings is the first customer to take delivery of a Maxi-Low 3.5-tonne van, a British-built vehicle with polypropylene panels.

Supplied on contract hire by Alltruck, the Maxi-Low standard 3.5-tonne Luton gives a payload of up to 1,400kg – up to 400kg more than an equivalent vehicle with GRP (glassfibre reinforced plastic) panels.

"We are delighted with the new vehicle," says Martin Gould, transport manager for Leicestershire-based East Coast Fittings.

"Not only does it look great, but the improved payload is a huge advantage given the types of heavy products which our home delivery fleet is carrying."
