B&Q builds up fleet with Renault Premium trucks for TradePoint 12 November 2013

TradePoint, the trade operation of B&Q, has taken delivery of 25 Renault Premium 380.26 6x2 chassis cabs.

After evaluating several brands, B&Q awarded the deal to commercial vehicle contract hire business BRS for its "best all-round package". Built for the operation, the cabs have been fitted with triple dropside bodies, by Transport Enterprises, and a Hiab XS122 B2 lorry loader crane.

Marc Ferris, TradePoint hub project manager, says: "BRS already has a long-established relationship with B&Q and we were very impressed with the proposal that they came back with for the TradePoint fleet. Compared to its competitors, Renault Trucks offered the best all-round package, with a fuel-efficient, reliable and driver-friendly product."

The Renault Premiums are supplied under a full-service contract with BRS, which includes the vehicles, drivers and management. They will operate from TradePoint hubs across the UK, providing a delivery service to tradesmen onsite.
