Bridget Rosewell OBE appointed chair of DVSA01 March 2017

Bridget Rosewell OBE has today (1 March 2017) been appointed chair of the DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency), its first non-executive chair position.

Formerly a commissioner for the National Infrastructure Commission since its inception in October 2015, and currently a non-executive director of Network Rail and Atom Bank, she is an economist who has set up and run multiple consultancies.

Rosewell joins DVSA as it prepares to launch a new, five-year strategy aimed at further improving road safety while ensuring services offer value for money.

“Bridget brings extensive experience of the transport and infrastructure industry and will be a great asset to DVSA,” comments transport minister Andrew Jones.

“DVSA’s important work affects everyone in the country... I’m really looking forward to playing my part in helping DVSA achieve its road safety objectives,” states Rosewell.

“I am delighted to welcome Bridget to the team at DVSA… Her knowledge and experience will be invaluable as we set out on our five-year journey to achieve our vision – safer drivers, safer vehicles and safer journeys for all,” says DVSA chief executive Gareth Llewellyn.
