Broxtowe mayor takes delivery of two high-tech refuse vehicles16 June 2015

The Nottinghamshire Vehicle Consortium – comprising 11 local authorities – has taken delivery of two refuse vehicles from Terberg Matec UK, in a deal worth more than £300,000.

Broxtowe's new mayor, councillor Susan Bagshaw (pictured), was handed the keys to the high tech, eco-efficient trucks recently, which form part of Broxtowe's fleet renewal programme.

Each is fitted with Terberg's low-voltage, environmentally-friendly and low-noise electric OmniDEL E bin lifts to minimise noise during early morning collections.

The Consortium is three years into a second four-year framework agreement with prime contractor Terberg Matec UK.

Terberg delivered 120 vehicles during the first four years and expects to provide a similar number during this second term.
