BT Fleet adds three more ATF lanes 18 August 2015

Fleet management business BT Fleet has added Authorised Testing Facility (ATF) capabilities at three of its sites in Maidstone, Magna Park in Lutterworth and Northallerton.

BT Fleet worked with garage equipment manufacturer Gemco on the project, which included introducing a compressed air supply into the inspection and workshop pits, fitting shaker plates and accessory boards, and supplying brake testers.

"The recent reduction in ATF facilities by the DVSA meant that it was increasingly challenging for some of our customer base to find convenient test centres," says Mark Wolfe, BT Fleet's head of garage services for the UK and Northern Ireland.

He describes the ATF investment as "an important step", adding: "As one of a handful of compliant companies selected by the DVSA, the process has enabled us to meet the demand in these areas."

The Maidstone and Magna Park ATF's are now open; the Northallerton facility is due to open next month.
