Bus operators cut costs with ‘intelligent’ spares 30 May 2013

Bus operators across Europe are cutting vehicle maintenance costs through the use of Europart's EWOS 'intelligent' spares online ordering system, according to the company.

Europart CEO Pierre Fleck explains that the service covers a wide range of parts for all leading bus brands, delivered via more than 200 sales offices in 28 countries, of which 160 are Europart's own branch offices in 23 countries.

"Thanks to our extensive presence, we are able to guarantee high availability and a fast delivery service in every region of Europe," states Fleck.

And he adds that time-consuming searches for prices and availability for different suppliers, as well as identifying parts with different manufacturers' coding systems are effectively a thing of the past.

"Europart customers can use our EWOS online ordering system free of charge and in their own language," states Fleck.

"This system also offers immediate access to the respective individual prices and availability information."

In addition, EWOS can be connected to the bus operators' own IT systems, so simplifying stock management and order management.
