Cardiff operator polishes performance with Trakm8prime 24 May 2017

The Cardiff Window Cleaning Company (CWCC) is deploying GPS tracking in its three vans and one company car, after a trial resulted in lower fuel consumption and fleet efficiency improvements.

The tracking solution, Trakm8prime, was provided on a free 30-day trial and, says Joseph Richards, managing director of CWCC, driver behaviour monitoring also led to “clear safety improvements”.

He adds: “Also, knowing exactly where vehicles are at any given time across South Wales allows for rapid response to situations that may arise. This allows us to give an even better service to our important clients.”

Priced at £12.99 per vehicle, per month, Trakm8prime combines GPS tracking with business and private mileage management, as well as vehicle health prognostics.

The system also monitors driver behaviour KPIs such as excessive acceleration, harsh braking, sharp cornering, and engine idling.

Richards and the management team are able to log in to analyse driver scoring; drivers can view their performance via the Trakm8prime smartphone app.

Emilio Evangelista, a CWCC driver, says he had reservations initially. “However, since having the tracker fitted I feel my driving has definitely improved.

“I feel more responsible to ensure that my driving is safe and courteous to other road users. I also enjoy being able to review my driving at the end of the week and see where I can make improvements.”
