Carlsberg orders 20 all-electric trucks from Renault13 February 2020

Carlsberg Group has ordered 20 all-electric Renault D Wide ZE trucks for its Swiss subsidiary the Feldschlösschen brewery.

The 26-tonners will be delivered during 2020. They will be making daily delivery rounds of between 100km and 200km from 15 logistics centres across Switzerland.

The 3,900mm wheelbase trucks have two electric motors with a total rating of 370kW, continuous output of 260kW, and maximum torque of 850Nm. The 200kWh lithium-ion batteries are said to provide a range of up to 200km.

Bruno Blin, president of Renault Trucks, says: “It is the first order of this scale in Europe. It proves to our customers that the transport sector is undergoing a major transformation and reflects an industrial and commercial reality: our Renault Trucks electric trucks are rolling off the assembly line and will be on the roads of Europe in a few weeks’ time.”
