Carrs Billington draws on benefits of Volvo FH50017 January 2019

Agricultural and rural products supplier Carrs Billington has put a new Volvo FH rigid and drawbar trailer into service.

Supplied by Volvo Truck and Bus Centre North & Scotland, the 44-tonne FH 6x2 rigid combination will be based at the operator’s Milnathort Country Store and supply depots in Perth & Kinross.

Featuring a fixed lifting tag axle on its 5,600mm wheelbase chassis, the Globetrotter-cabbed vehicle is equipped with a D13K engine rated at 494bhp, with a 12-speed I-Shift automated gearbox.

The truck is specified with the Drive Plus and Living Single Bed packages, and a high power audio system. Its curtainsider bodywork is by Priden Engineering, with the drawbar trailer from Lawrence David.

The new vehicle is supplied with a seven-year R&M contract, which will be carried out at the Perth dealerpoint of Volvo Truck and Bus Centre North & Scotland.
