Cartwright apprentices scheme highly commended 25 October 2016

Trailers and bodies manufacturer Cartwright has been highly commended at the North West National Apprenticeship Awards 2016 taking the runner-up slot in the large employer category.

“We are delighted that our apprenticeship programme has been recognised,” comments Cartwright Group managing director Mark Cartwright.

“Skilled workers are the lifeblood of Cartwright: indeed, some of our most senior members of staff began their careers as engineering apprentices on the shop floor,” he continues.

“Through the development of our apprenticeship programme we are ensuring those all-important skill sets, which have formed the foundation of the continuing success of Cartwright, are passed on to a new generation of workers.”

The Awards, now in their 13th year, are run by the National Apprenticeship Service and recognise excellence in: businesses that grow their own talent with apprentices; and apprentices who make a significant contribution to their workplaces.
