Cartwright designs specialist urban trailer for Brian Yeardley 07 October 2015

Brian Yeardley Continental believes it is on the cusp of a new market opportunity in the exhibitions and events industry, with its new “game-changing prototype” urban trailer from Cartwright.

The Wakefield based UK and European operator wanted an inner city trailer capable of getting in and out of hotels and exhibition centres with restricted access.

In answer, Cartwright has developed a 9.3m tandem axle urban trailer with a rear lift axle that shortens the effective wheelbase when delivering exhibition equipment.

It runs on a 9,950mm fifth wheel height, has a mega flat floor with multiple e-lock tracking system, as well as a tail-lift – while overall height is 4m for continental work.

“We told all the manufacturers we spoke to that we needed a 9.3m inner city urban trailer and Cartwright was the only manufacturer that listened, spent time with us and provided us with what we asked for,” states Brian Yeardley managing director Kevin Hopper

“Cartwright has really worked for us… It is a cracking trailer and it’s the only one in the country,” he continues.

“We are on to a winner and will definitely be talking to Cartwright about more.”
