CEMEX builds fleet with 27 MAN TGX tractors01 September 2014

Building materials supplier CEMEX UK has extended its fleet with 27 MAN TGX 26.440BLS 6x2 tractor units to operate from its cement production plant in Rugby.

The company's 90-strong cement logistics fleet is now two thirds MAN.

The latest acquisitions – supplied by MAN Truck and Bus Nuneaton – have been acquired on a five-year deal through MAN Financial Services and include full R&M cover.

CEMEX has specified a range of additional safety equipment for the tractors, in line with its Gold accreditation to FORS (Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme), operated by Transport for London.

"High on our agenda is fleet efficiency – uptime is critical and we have to know that MAN shares that commitment," says Dave Hart, national cement logistics and terminals manager for CEMEX.

"We enjoy a very healthy relationship with MAN and have done so for many years," he adds.
