Chadwicks says Masternaut Connect pays for itself17 September 2015

Waste management business Chadwicks Recycling is reporting fuel and insurance cost savings across its 20-strong fleet, after installing Masternaut Connect telematics, and says the solution “pays for itself”.

Fleet managers at the Bolton-based operator use Connect for real-time vehicle tracking, reducing instances of speeding, and improving vehicle utilisation across its fleet of trucks, vans, pick-ups and cars.

Managers also have access to customised reports on speeding, enabling them to educate drivers on safer, more fuel-efficient driving.

Sean Chadwick (pictured), managing director at Chadwicks Recycling, says: “Masternaut Connect has had a huge effect on our business and has allowed us to manage our employees and jobs more efficiently.

“Our plant equipment is a valuable asset, so we need to plan carefully how it is deployed – with that in mind vehicle utilisation is a key aspect for us.”

He adds: “Combined with this, the money that Connect has helped us to save on insurance and fuel costs means that the system pays for itself and, in that respect, it’s been an invaluable addition to our business.”
