Chambers & Cook specifies more Schmitz Cargobull for its operations07 October 2011

European unaccompanied freight specialist, Chambers & Cook is continuing its trend of sourcing curtainsider trailers exclusively from Schmitz Cargobull with the latest delivery of 10 new Euroliners.

The additions will add to an already strong fleet of 80 Schmitz Cargobull trailers operated by the company throughout Europe.

"Our equipment is our advert," says Paul Blackburn, managing director of Chambers & Cook (Eastern). "We set out to be different, unlike some operators who run neglected and ageing trailers, we believe that the quality and reliability of our service can be quantified by the equipment we own.

"Since establishing the company in 2009, our preference has been to grow the business with modern equipment from approved suppliers. This way we build trusted relationships and work as a partnership to ensure consistent levels of service and quality," adds Blackburn.

The new Euroliners are light in weight and are designed to maximise both payload and capacity by accepting 34 Euro pallets, in contrast to the industry standard of 33. The equipment will service contracts predominantly in the UK, Benelux, France and Germany.

All new trailers are constructed to EN 12642 XL standard, indicating that the build can withhold the cargo in the event of an incident. Additionally, trailers are equipped with sideboards and sliding roofs, as well as high-security reinforced curtains.
