Chambers Waste improves forecourt fuel management 11 March 2015

Waste management and aggregates company Chambers Waste Group has invested in a centralised fuelling system, from Cameron Forecourt, to amalgamate fuel monitoring and management across three sites.

Cameron Forecourt upgraded the operator's existing Optima PC units at all three depots to its new Jigsaw Eclipse fuel management system, which interfaces to its web-based fuel software.

The firm also installed three OLE tank gauge systems to Chambers Waste's above-ground tanks located at sites around the Aldershot area.

Chambers is now getting improved overall management and visibility of its fuelling arrangements, which involves a fleet of 55 vehicles ranging from skip loaders to tippers, tractor units, roll-on/roll-off vehicles and volumetric mixers.

High accuracy electronic gauging also provides instant information on fuel stock levels, remaining tank capacity and ullage, allowing managers to maintain safe working levels and to optimise replenishment.

Fuel drawings monitored by the Eclipse system can then be reconciled against fuelling from the tanks. All Chambers' vehicles and drivers have key fobs to access the fuel as necessary.
