Cheetah sprints with safe load securing system30 July 2015

Cheetah Couriers & Logistics is trialling a new load strapping system, called Strap2Go, on some of its single- and double-deck trailers and rigids, and says it anticipates rolling the product out to the rest of the fleet.

Strap2Go is supplied by Brookwood Load Solutions, a business formed by Tony Brooks of Independent Logistics Solutions and Gary Wood of compliance consultancy Plumwood, and the product was sourced to meet the DVSA's safe loading guildelines.

Wood and Brooks found the Strap2Go system in Belgium, and have developed a solution that uses this with sliding fitments.

Brookwood sells the Strap2Go system and points the operator to off-the-shelf tracks to fit it in. This, it says, keeps the cost down, with a full system costing from £500, and offers a fast and fully-compliant means of securing loads.

The company says it has fitted the system to single-, double-deck and lifting roof trailers, plus rigids of any size.
